We’ve had a number of queries over the years about the 1980 Thames Television version of Love in a Cold Climate, based on Nancy Mitford’s postwar novels, so we’re glad to hear that it is coming to DVD in June. Bringing the chronicles of an extended family of aristocrats to life is a distinguish cast that includes Judi Dench, her late husband, Michael Williams (Elizabeth R, A Fine Romance), Michael Aldridge (Last of the Summer Wine, 1986-90), Vivian Pickles (Elizabeth R, Isadora [Ken Russell at the BBC]) and Anthony Head, seen here in the first stages of his television career.
Viewer Alert: The third season of The Thick of It, starring Peter Capaldi, premieres Saturday night, April 28, at midnight ET. This is the British original that is the basis for HBO’s new series Veep, whose scripts are also written by Thick of It writer-producer Armando Iannucci, the man who brought us I’m Alan Partridge and Knowing Me Knowing You. The Canadian premiere has not yet been announced.

I live in San Juan Puerto Rico, we used to get your TV series through One Link Communications Cable but this has discontinued without a word. Therefore, we can order the new series as we have not seen it. Is there anything you can do. Thanks Matilde Rose
Please respect your audience. It is outrageous that THE THICK OF IT, an acclaimed series is being aired at midnight (in the NY area) instead of a more accessible time,
My friends and family joined BBCA in order to receive more British drama, not more TOP GEAR!
Do you ever have requests for Alan Bennett’s “Talking Heads”. There were wonderful episodes with Maggie Smith,Patricia Routledge and Alan Bennett. Are they available anywhere?
No more Top Gear and Dr. Who. Pleas put more great British plays or comedies on, and plea “are you being served” is so old. How about more East Enders, that is a fab. Show but where I live we see it Sunday nights. 11 to 12. Please don’t let us down Britain has great shows please fet them so we can enjoy the. Thanks.
When will The Thick of It be shown in the San Francisco area?

oh, I so agree….the channel used to be loaded up with that attic show and other housy type dyi things. then it began to get good. but jeez, if you didn’t have graham norton it would be just awful. top gear is a good show, but it’s always on…and there’s an overabundance of sci/fi, horror stuff…come on, there’s got to be something better!
I would like to purchase Mapp & Lucia series 2. It is available in Amazon but you don’t seem to have it. Thanks.
When I lived in Britain you had few channels and no 24 hour service, but what you had was quality. Now your overabundance of channels and lack of anything worth watching is no better than the U.S. I bought the BBC channel to see quality programming and some interesting junk, such as Location, Under the Hammer, none Ramsey cooking(Oz or Stein), etc. What you now offer is appalling. Are your programmers ALL teenage boys? I would hazard a guess that most of the people who make the pay T.V. choices have added you to their plan in order to see PBS style quality but with many new exciting shows and lack of repetitiveness. I cannot tell you how saddened I am by your continued downward spiral, and if you don’t improve soon I will drop you. It is maddening to know what great things you could show(which I will never see otherwise), but instead you pander to the lowest common denominator amongst us.. Not only is it insulting to humans in general but it is a stupid strategy as you are no longer special in any way, and definitely not worth paying for. I will simply increase my donation to PBS and hope they beef up their offerings. Please change. Most sincerely submitted.
Would love to get the heads up to Mistresses, when will it be shown again? I have only seen series 1. What’s the deal? There are so many great shows that could been seen, and are not. Every weekend seems to be yet James Bond or american horror movies which I don’t get at all. I want to see British Broadcasting PLEASE
Love love bbc shows. Masterpiece theatre, eastenders, dr who, merlin & comedy shows. Need more of them! Also like top gear….
I absolutely agree with the criticism of other viewers. PLEASE! There are so many good programmes on BBC. Why do you have endless Top Gear and its ilk?? The BBC will lose so many potential viewers if theis continues.
I feel very strongly about some of the programmes being showed to us on BBCA, I don’t want to keep watching Dr. Who, Top Gear, and James Bond, over and over and over again!!. I subscribe to BBCA so I can watch British programing. Don’t tell me there aren’t any British “old” movies, mini series etc, that can’t be shown to us. If I see Gordon Ramsey at the Walnut Tree Restuarant one more time, I’ll scream!!!
