For all you diva devotees out there, we’re putting together another one of our wonderful Dame collections. Previous releases looked at the careers of Helen Mirren, Maggie Smith, and Judi Dench at the BBC, but no collection of collections would be complete without our latest addition, Dame Diana Rigg. Although she first rose to fame as Emma Peel in The Avengers, Diana Rigg demonstrates in this collection the range of her talents, including her ability to remain dignified in a silly hat (as above, with Bob Hoskins in Three Piece Suite.) Pending conclusion of rights, we’re hoping to include all the Mrs. Bradley Mysteries, Little Eyolf, Three Piece Suite, the long unavailable Genghis Cohen (featuring an early appearance by fellow bond alumnus Daniel Craig) ,and Unexplained Laughter, where Ms. Rigg plays a broken-hearted journalist who retreats to the country only to be haunted by the ghostly laughter. Throughout this collection, Dame Diana is supported by a who’s who of British talent, including Bob Hoskins, John Cleese, Peggy Ashcroft, Charles Dance and Anthony Hopkins.
