Merlin is a drama series which updates the story of the infamous sorcerer of Arthurian legend for a new audience.

The mythical city of Camelot, in a time before history began. A fantastical realm of legendary beasts and mysterious peoples. A dangerous world in which magic has been banned by the ruthless tyrant, Uther Pendragon. When Merlin, a young man gifted with extraordinary magical powers, arrives in the kingdom, he quickly makes enemies, including the heir to Uther's crown, the headstrong Prince Arthur.

But guided by Uther's wise physician, Gaius, Merlin is soon using his talents not just to survive but also to unlock Camelot's mystical secrets. As he does so, he discovers that his destiny and that of the kingdom's young leader in waiting, Arthur, are inextricably linked.

When young Merlin is sent to Camelot to live with court physician Gaius, he struggles to keep his magic secret - especially when he starts hearing a voice calling to him from deep underground.

Episode 2: Valiant
When arrogant Knight Valiant arrives in Camelot to compete in the annual sword tournament, Merlin suspects that his intentions are far from honorable - and that Arthur may be in great peril.

Episode 3: The Mark of Nimueh
Merlin must race against the clock to find the cure for a deadly disease that is spreading through Camelot.

Episode 4: The Poisoned Chalice
When an evil sorceress poisons Merlin, the tables become turned as Arthur must disobey his father to save Merlin's life.

Episode 5: Lancelot
After a stranger named Lancelot saves him from a deadly Griffin, Merlin attempts to help him become a knight of Camelot.

Episode 6: A remedy to Cure All Ills
A mysterious physician arrives, promising a cure to all diseases and revenge against Uther Pendragon.

Episode 7: The Gates of Avalon
When Morgana dreams that Arthur is murdered by a girl who shows up the next day, she starts to question every word that Gaius has told her about her mysterious "night terrors."

Episode 8: The Beginning of the End
Merlin finds an unlikely ally in Morgana when he decides to help a child fugitive - who is also a Druid.

Episode 9: Excalibur
When a mysterious black knight comes to Camelot and challenges its heroes to mortal combat, Merlin asks the Great Dragon to forge a weapon to slay an unbeatable foe.

Episode 10: The Moment of Truth
Merlin's home village of Ealdor is attacked by a ruthless raider named Kanan and his men. When Merlin, Arthur, Gwen and Morgana try to save the town, Merlin must if she should risk revealing his magic in order to save his family and friends.

Episode 11: The Labyrinth of Gedref
When Arthur kills a unicorn, a deadly curse befalls Camelot.

Episode 12: To Kill the King
When Uther executes Gwen's father on the grounds of witchcraft, Morgana decides to exact revenge.

Episode 13: Le Mort D'Arthur
After Arthur receives a mortal wound from a mythical beast, it's up to Merlin to bargain for his life.

Series 2
Episode 1: The Curse of Cornelius Sigan
A new servant, Cedric, muscles in as Arthur's right-hand-man and turns him against Merlin. Merlin is convinced the newcomer is up to something, but how can he make things right when he may have lost Arthur's trust for good?

Episode 2: The Once and Future Queen
Arthur is determined to win Camelot's jousting tournament of his own merit, however a bounty hunter has arrived with Arthur as his target. Can Merlin protect Arthur from the deadliest assassin in the land?

Episode 3: The Nightmare Begins
When Morgana's nightmares spill into waking hours, she becomes terrified that she possesses magical skill. Gaius is determined to keep her in the dark but Merlin disobeys his guardian in order to help Morgana - regardless of what the consequences might be.

Episode 4: Lancelot and Guinevere
When Gwen is mistaken for Morgana and kidnapped by a savage outlaw, Uther refuses to pay her ransom. Arthur leaves to rescue Gwen, but how will he react when he sees how powerful their feelings are for one another?

Episode 5: Beauty and the Beast (Part 1)
Uther becomes captivated by his latest guest, Lady Catrina. Arthur is disgusted by their perpetual flirting, but Lady Catrina has her eye on more than just the King's heart.

Episode 6: Beauty and the Beast (Part 2)
Newly crowned queen Lady Catrina settles in as Camelot's first lady. As her influence over Uther increases, Merlin must find a way to expose her true nature without getting caught.

Episode 7: The Witchfinder
Uther is determined to wipe out magic and once and for all, and summons the most dreaded witchfinder in the land. Gaius impresses upon Merlin the danger that he is in, but can he protect his friends without endangering himself?

Episode 8: The Sins of the Father
When a mysterious warrior challenges Arthur to a duel, no one could predict the devastating chain of events that are set in motion. He and Merlin find themselves on a strange quest, discovering a secret that could bring about Camelot's downfall.

Episode 9: The Lady of the Lake
When Merlin discovers a beautiful Druid girl trapped in a bounty hunter's cage, he knows he must help her escape. When their intense friendship is tested to the limit, he is forced to make heartbreaking decisions to keep her safe.

Episode 10: Sweet Dreams
Dignitaries from rival kingdoms arrive in Camelot for peace talks, but King Alined will do everything in his power to stir up hostilities, even if it means using magic. Chaos reigns in the palace and, once more, Camelot is pushed to the brink of war.

Episode 11: The Witch's Quickening
Uther has a precious relic locked tight within the vaults of Camelot that many have lost their lives trying to reclaim. But warlock Avlarr has a secret weapon - Mordred. Will Morgana go so far as to turn traitor for the boy?

Episode 12: The Fire of Idirsholas
When the fires of Idirsholas burn for the first time in three hundred years, Gaius fears sorcerers have revived the deadly knights of Medhir.

Episode 13: The Last Dragonlord
With the Great Dragon finally free and full of rage, he attacks Camelot with pitiless intensity. The last Dragonlord is the key to Merlin's own past and to the future as well, but can Arthur and Merlin find him in time to save the kingdom?

Episode 1: The Tears of Uther Pendragon (Part 1)
A year after her disappearance, when hope is almost lost, Morgana returns to Camelot. While Merlin is afraid she will remember the circumstances of her escape and reveal him to the king, a delighted Uther announces a banquet to celebrate. Soon evil magic starts to take hold of Camelot and Merlin suspects Morgana is behind the enchantment, but his search for the truth puts his life in peril.

Episode 2: The Tears of Uther Pendragon (Part 2)
With the help of the Great Dragon, Merlin is able to return to Camelot only to find that it is on the brink of invasion: Morgeuse and Cendred have teamed up to attack a weakened Uther. Morgana plays a deadly card and, once again, Camelot's fate rests in Arthur and Merlin's hands as they fight an army of both the living and the dead.

Episode 3: Goblin's Gold
When Merlin stumbles upon a secret chamber, he accidentally releases a goblin. A series of unfortunate events strikes Camelot, but can Merlin put an end to the havoc before any irreversible damage is done?

Episode 4: Gwaine
Merlin and Arthur find themselves outnumbered in a bar fight, but an enigmatic young man helps them win. When they bring him to the castle, he immediately causes trouble for Merlin. However, when two unscrupulous knights plot murder against Arthur, will Merlin and Gwaine be able to save him?

Episode 5: The Crystal Cave
After an unexpected meeting with sorcerer Taliesin, the wizard takes Merlin to his cave to show him his future. The young wizard knows he must stop the future from happening, but changing the pages of destiny is a very dangerous card and his actions have some fatal consequences.

Episode 6: The Changeling
Uther pressures Arthur into an arranged marriage with visiting princess Elena, though Merlin soon discovers she may not be all that she appears to be.

Episode 7: The Castle of Fyrien
Gwen faces an impossible dilemma when she is forced to choose between the life of Elyan, her brother and only sibling, and Arthur. When one of them is certain of death at the hands of Cendred, who will she choose?

Episode 8: The Eye of the Phoenix
Arthur embarks alone on a quest to prove himself worthy of the Camelot throne by retrieving the Golden Trident from the Fisher King. With the Prince beyond the protection of the citadel, Morgana takes the opportunity to use her dark magic.

Episode 9: Love in the Time of Dragons
Merlin is pleased to get acquainted with a different side of his mentor when Alice, an old flame of Gaius's, arrives in Camelot. However, when the warlock discovers that she is under the influence of a Manticore, a creature from the Old Religion, Merlin has no other choice but to tell the physician about Alice's evil scheme.

Episode 10: Queen of Hearts
When Morgana is tormented by dreams in which Guinevere becomes Queen of Camelot, Morgause encourages her to reveal Arthur and Gwen's courtship to Uther in the knowledge that he will do whatever it takes to stop his son from marrying a serving girl.

Episode 11: The Sorcerer's Shadow
Camelot's legendary tournament only has one rule: there are no rules whatsoever. Terrifying warriors start to fill the mythical city, Gilli between them. Despite his small stature, Gilli is ready to join the action and committed to achieve victory with a secret weapon to help him: magic.

Episode 12: The Coming of Arthur (Part 1)
Arthur and Merlin embark on a dangerous mission to capture the Cup of Life, a powerful magical artifact that carries the gift of immortality. However, before they are able to retrieve the Cup they fall prey to Jarl, an unscrupulous slave trader. They manage to escape when a trusted friend comes to their rescue but with Jarl's help, the Cup of Life ends up in Morgause's hands. Now that the dreadful sisters count on an immortal army at their disposal, will Morgause and Morgana overthrow Uther once and for all?

Episode 13; The Coming of Arthur (Part 2)
Will Arthur be able to save Camelot from the evil Morgana? Morgana, newly crowned as Queen of Camelot, begins a reign of terrible evil over the innocent citizens of the kingdom. Counting on Morgause and her immortal army at her command, all hope seems lost for Uther who is forced to witness how his kingdom crumble under the unimaginable cruelty of his own daughter.

	Merlin Merlin will one day grow up to be the greatest wizard the world has ever known. For now, he is just a young man, living in Camelot and working as Prince Arthur’s manservant. Merlin must secretly use his magic to keep Arthur and the kingdom safe.

	Morgana The orphaned ward of King Uther, Morgana is a feisty, spirited girl and her beauty is without equal in the kingdom. She is ruthless in defending what she believes in, a great friend…and a terrifying enemy.
	Gaius As Camelot’s humble court physician, Gaius is a trusted advisor to the King. He is also Merlin’s guardian and the only one who knows his secret. Gaius uses his unparalleled knowledge to help the young warlock keep the kingdom safe.
	The Great Dragon The Great Dragon is the last of his kind. Uther has kept him chained in a cave underneath the castle for many years since the Great Dragon Purge. He knows all the secrets of the past and the many prophecies of the future.
	Morgause The powerful sorceress Morgause is a true femme fatale: beautiful and wicked to the bone. After her last plan to destroy Uther’s reign failed, she is back with a vengeance, this time determined to see the death of the King. This time, however, she has help which proves that blood is thicker than water.
	Mordred Mordred is a young Druid boy with magical powers. Though the Druids are a peaceful race, The Great Dragon told Merlin that Mordred will one day kill Arthur.
	Lancelot Lancelot is a great warrior with a good heart. He once dreamt of becoming a Knight and protecting Camelot. However, his humble upbringing prevented this, as a Knight of Camelot must be of noble blood.
	Gwaine Merlin is kept on his toes by the enigmatic Knight in the making Gwaine. He comes to Camelot after using his superior fighting skills to help Merlin and Arthur in a tavern brawl. Though he appears to care for little more than ale and women, it soon becomes clear that he respects honor, valor, and camaraderie above all else.
	Cendred The iniquitous Cendred is a King from the neighboring lands to the east of Camelot. He rules his kingdom with an iron fist; his people follow him or die. He has many enemies, but his hatred for Uther truly runs deep. If the opportunity should ever arise, he would gladly claim the lands of Camelot for his own.
	Balinor A warlock with very rare and special powers, Balinor is the last of his kind. Forced into hiding by Uther’s Great Purge, he has been living as a hermit in the wild for the past twenty years. Balinor is the key to Merlin’s past and Camelot’s future. Without his help, the kingdom is doomed.
