HELL - It?s time for the Fathers? annual two-week vacation. A suspicious couple, an over-excitable youth group, and a lot of rain conspire to turn the trip into a Dante-esque experience.
THINK FAST, FATHER TED - Giving away a car at a fundraising raffle will surely raise money to save the house roof from near collapse. But what happens when the car is badly damaged with amateur body work, and is replaced by a borrowed car from a dancing priest?
TENTACLES OF DOOM - A holy and ancient relic on the Island is being blessed in a special ceremony. As three visiting bishops arrive to conduct the rites, a crisis of faith, an overbearing bishop, and a faulty toilet result in death, destruction, and hilarious horror.
THE OLD GREY WHISTLE THEFT - Coinciding with the visit of a young priest, a supervisor?s special whistle is stolen. As the islanders become hysterical about the breakdown of law and order, the police begin to suspect a priest is responsible.
SONG FOR EUROPE - Fueled by rivalry with another priest, Father Ted and Father Dougal decide to ?borrow? a tune from another contest hopeful to attain victory. With inspired lyrics, a jaunty tune, and the right attitude, they stand a good chance. But fate has one more card to deal.
THE PLAGUE - While investigating a charge against Father Jack of nude sleepwalking, a visiting bishop (with an intense phobia of rabbits) veers into crisis mode when Father Dougal?s once-hidden pet bunny, Sampras, seems to be the cause of rabbit proliferation on the island.
ROCK-A-HULA TED - Militant feminism and old-fashioned, wholesome womanhood go head-to-head as Father Ted judges a Lovely Girls Competition, at the same time an aggressive protest singer visits the island as a potential spot for a new home.
CIGARETTES AND ALCOHOL AND ROLLERBLADING - It's Lent and Father Ted has decided to give up smoking. Father Dougal has given up rollerblading and Father Jack has been forced, against his will, to give up the drink. Their sacrifices prove to be diffcult to cope with, so Ted calls in Sister Assumpta to supervise their self-sacrifice. She proves to be an out-and-out sadist.
NEW JACK CITY - Father Jack?s incredibly hairy hands get him sent off to the Old Priests? Home for treatment. Jack?s replacement is even more trouble, so Ted and Dougal decide to mount a ?Guns of Navarrone?-style rescue operation to get him back.
FLIGHT INTO TERROR - Flying back from a visit to a holy shrine, the priestly trio find themselves in mortal danger when another Father goes mad in the cockpit and causes Dougal to do something really, really stupid. With just a bit of fuel left, Ted comes up with a plan on how to dole out the last two parachutes.
Who said religion is no laughing matter? On windswept Craggy Island, somewhere off the coast of West Ireland, Father Ted Crilly (Dermot Morgan) is charged with the unenviable task of looking after the affairs of the local parish and its inimitable residents.
There's Father Dougal McGuire (Ardal O'Hanlon), a blissfully unaware young priest, whose blinding optimism and short-term memory are recurring instruments for the humiliation of Ted. And of course, there's the perpetually-drunk Father Jack Hackett (Frank Kelly). When not sleeping in his chair, Father Jack is usually screaming abuse, dreaming of past exploits or shouting for more "Drink!" Rounding out the household is Mrs. Doyle (Pauline McLynn), the omnipresent housekeeper who keeps a vigilant eye on the Parochial House and its guests, ever-ready with a hot cup o' tea.
And, as if they're not enough for poor Father Ted, he also has the residents of Craggy Island to shepherd. What with its crazed geriatric footballers, rakish milkmen on the make and even a burping sheep, it's enough to drive even the level-headed Ted beyond the brink of sanity!
In a perfect world, Ted Crilly would be relaxing alongside glamorous, bikini-clad women at his own parish in sun-kissed L.A. But in reality, Ted is stuck on this weather-worn island, forced to spend the majority of his time attempting to remove himself and his colleagues from embarrassing and increasingly bizarre situations.
Go on and pay a visit with Fathers Ted, Dougal and Jack, three Irish priests exiled to Craggy Island as penance for their personal peccadilloes. Includes 4 bonus episodes not available on VHS.
Includes the following episodes:
Hell: It's July and that means it's time for the Fathers' annual holiday. With interesting activities like boiling water and a day trip to "Saint Kevin's Stump", the stage is set for an incredibly exciting two weeks.
Think Fast, Father Ted: With the Parish House roof threatening to collapse, Ted convinces Bishop Brennan to give the parish a new car. They plan to raffle it off to raise funds, but when a bit of amateur bodywork goes badly wrong, Ted has to come up with a plan...
Tentacles of Doom: The Holy Stone of Clonrichert is about to be upgraded to a class II relic, and Ted is determined that Fathers Dougal and Jack be on their best behavior. But a crisis of faith, a faulty toilet and an overbearing bishop will put them all to the test.
The Old Grey Whistle Theft: Following an argument with Ted, an officious picnic area supervisor realizes that his shiny silver whistle has disappeared. As hysteria grows over the breakdown of law and order, Sergeant Hodgins begins to suspect a priest is responsible.
Song for Europe: Driven on by his rivalry with Father Dick Byrne, Ted is determined to win the 1996 Eurosong Contest. To this end, he and Dougal "borrow" the music of an old Eurosong contender and enter it as their own.
The Plague: Father Dougal is very excited about his new pet rabbit, but Bishop Brennan's arrival may ruin his fun. The Bishop suffers from a severe case of rabbit phobia, so when more rabbits start popping up, the Fathers have a crisis on their hands.
Rock-A-Hula Ted: Aggressive protest singer Niamh Connelly arrives on the island just as Ted is getting ready to judge the annual Lovely Girls Competition. Will the clash between militant feminism and old-fashioned womanhood lead to more trouble for Ted? Yes.
Cigarettes and Alcohol and Rollerblading: With Easter fast approaching, Father Dick Byrne suggests that Craggy Island's priests give up their vices for Lent. When temptation beckons, the Fathers are forced to call on Sister Assumpta for help.
New Jack City: One glance at Father Jack's incredibly hairy hands, and the Doctor Sinnot sends him off to St. Clabberts Old Priests' Home for immediate treatment. But Jack's replacement is even less pleasant than the old man himself.
Flight Into Terror: Flying back from a visit to a particularly holy shrine, a plane full of priests find themselves in mortal danger when Dougal does something really really stupid in the cockpit. With only a cup of fuel left, can Ted save the day?
