The world's longest-running sitcom is back with more adventures from everyone's favorite geriatrics! Soon after Foggy leaves for Bridleton to inherit his uncle's business, Seymour Utterthwaite (Michael Aldridge) arrives on the scene in the wake of a self-propelled wheelbarrow, the first of many wacky inventions to leap from the mind of this retired headmaster. Clegg takes Compo and Seymour on a sentimental journey to re-create the times when his old school chums would walk gates and climb trees together. Also, Compo willingly agrees to "road-test" Seymour's new concept of a gentleman's purse (especially as there will be real money provided in it), and Edie's days of carrying a heavy dustbin are numbered when Seymour decides to install a new waste disposal unit for her.
1. Why Does Norman Clegg Buy Ladies' Elastic Stockings? - Clegg has to deliver a note to Marina in the supermarket. Can Seymour invent something highly original to justify all the security?
2. The Heavily Reinforced Bottom - A rotting old boat is made to float...sometimes most unsuccessfully.
3. Dried Dates and Codfanglers - Why has Compo just thrown something of great sentimental into Seymour's pond?
4. The Really Masculine Purse - Compo willingly agrees to 'road-test' Seymour's new concept of a gentleman's purse - especially as there will be real money provided in it.
5. Who's Feeling Ejected Then? - Will Seymour's car safety device really make him rich and famous? His "guinea pig" may not agree.
6. The Ice Cream Man Cometh - Compo's craving for ice-cream in remote places gives Seymour the idea that the time could be right for bringing back the old"stop me & buy one" mobile ice- cream vendor. All that's required is a bike, fridge, uniform & volunteer.
7. Set The People Free - The trio devise a plan to "spring" Howard and Wally for a few hours of freedom.
8. Go With The Flow - It's rather difficult selling tickets for the church's Beatrix Potter evening-until someone comes up with an idea to set Compo scurrying.
9. Jaws - Seymour insists Edie must be up to date with his latest design in waste disposal.
10. Edie and the Automobile - Edie learns to drive, so obvious disaster is expected.
11. Wind Power - How can Seymour harness the power of the wind for the benefit of mankind? Once again, Compo is the "test pilot".
12. When You Take A Good Bite, Yorkshire Tastes Terrible - Old chum Bill Henry dies in America, which prompts Clegg to take Compo and Seymour on a sentimental journey.
