When a cheerful man named Mulberry answers Miss Farnaby's ad for domestic help, no one expects the cantankerous old trout to hire him. But Mulberry charms her, and life in the old mansion takes a magical turn. How long will it continue? And what does a mysterious visitor want with Mulberry? Geraldine McEwan (The New Miss Marple, Carrie's War) and Karl Howman (The Last Detective, A Fine Romance) star in the complete series of this offbeat, oft-requested BBC comedy, from the writer of As Time Goes By.

Series 1
Wanted: young person to render general domestic assistance. According to Bert and Alice, the two surly servants who work for the formidable Miss Farnaby, the notice should read "Wanted: masochist to be at beck and call of cantankerous old trout." Fortunately, Mulberry has never met Bert or Alice. In fact, no one knows where he comes from. Out of the blue, he just turns up one day at the family mansion, without a single qualification to his name, and sweet-talks his way into the job. Suddenly, the dull old house is not dull any more, and Miss Farnaby's life will never be the same again.

Series 2
Where he came from no one knows, but he's brought a ray of sunshine into one old lady's life. But who is the mysterious man in black, and what does he want with Mulberry?
